MAINTENANCE & CALIBRATION OF GAS AND BREATHALYSER DETECTORS
Gas and breathalyser detectors use different types of cells (catalytic, infra-red, electrochemical, semiconductor or photoionisation) which require regular calibration to ensure accurate and reliable measurements over time. At Global Safety, we have a team of qualified technicians approved by our partner manufacturers, who provide maintenance services and periodic checks of portable or fixed gas detectors, on site or at our maintenance centres in Tunis and Sfax.
TRAINING IN THE USE OF PORTABLE GAS DETECTORS
Anyone who has to use a portable gas detector needs to be familiar with certain basic principles to ensure optimum use and minimise any risks associated with working in hazardous or confined areas. For these reasons, training in the use of portable gas detectors is strongly recommended at our premises, on site at our customers' premises or online via Teams.
INSPECTION AND MAINTENANCE OF CLASS 3 (CATEGORY 3) EPI
Class 3 (or category 3) personal protective equipment (PPE) is designed to prevent fatal or very serious risks. It is essential and mandatory to regularly check, inspect and maintain this type of protection to ensure the safety of the workforce. PPE includes respiratory protective equipment, chemical protective clothing and fall protection.
TRAINING IN THE USE OF BREATHING APPARATUS
Anyone who has to wear a self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) in the course of their work must first have received training in its usage, with a prior medical examination by the occupational physician being a prerequisite.
